Context Cards contain key details including customer reviews, maps, directions, opening times, contact numbers and menus, as well as options to reserve a table through Bookatable or hail a taxi ride there with Uber. It will also factor in more personalized features, like which ride-haling app you use (if you don't have Uber installed, Snapchat will show links to Lyft).
The new feature will pop up by swiping "More" at the bottom of snaps sent by users who agree to share their locations.
Stories have been integrated into Context Cards which will make it easier to see more Snaps from the places that really interest you.

By introducing more search features, Snapchat hopes to give its users more reason to stay on the app while also enabling more opportunities for ads - though that's not the case with Context Cards as of now.
The content of the cards changes based on the location - a restaurant may have links to reviews and table-booking while a tourist attraction may have TripAdvisor reviews or Foursquare tips.
At launch, Context Cards will be available in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia and New Zealand, on both iOS and Android versions of the Snapchat app.

For Snap, the feature shows just how much the company has moved to open up its platform, once notoriously closed off, in recent months.
If users share their location along with a Snap - either by submitting it to a public Our Story or by adding a special venue filter - Snapchat will let others swipe up to see more info about that location. Snapchat users collectively create 3 billion snaps per day, according to the company.
'As we learn more about how to improve Context Cards, we will be adding more partners and additional information'.
