Twitter working on new bookmarking tool to save tweets

You can already send links to yourself or try any number of different ways to save stuff for later, but they all involve multiple steps to save and reopen tweets. This feature will let users create a separate list of tweets that they can refer back to.

Micro-blogging site Twitter has announced that it is developing a bookmarking feature to save tweets.

Both Coleman and Shah emphasised that they would be relying on community feedback to flesh out the new tool, and encouraged users to tweet at them with the #SaveForLater hashtag. The heart icon, for example, can be taken as people marking their favorite tweets, not as people bookmarking them to reference later. However, liking a tweet about the rising death count after the Las Vegas shooting just isn't appropriate.

Microsoft, GE extend partnership with wind turbine-plus-storage project in Ireland
The wind turbines will have an integrated battery and Microsoft and GE will team up to provide data on energy storage. This will better enable intermittent clean power sources like wind energy to be added to the Irish grid.

Upon saving, a snack bar appears with a shortcut to quickly "View Bookmarks".

According to Digital Trends, "News of the upcoming feature came directly from Twitter product manager Jesar Shah, who revealed on Monday that an early version had been developed at a recent Hack Week". Jaser Shah, had also said that many of their users had wanted to this feature.

Changes to Twitter's timeline also means "liked" tweets actually show up in other people's timelines.

At the top of the list was Beckham , who is slated to undergo surgery at some point during the week, according to the team. Henry rushed for just nine yards on four carries, as one of his big gains was countered by a rush for a loss of six.

Shah also revealed that users now make do by Liking or sending tweets to themselves via DM.

Twitter recently expanded its 140 character limit to 280 characters for some users, which is the biggest change the social networking platform has made till date. You could either Like a tweet or by DMing it to your self.

This new feature, born out of Hack Wek, should provide an alternative that maintains a user's privacy.
