This is a stark contrast to the Doomsday reveal in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice promotion. Affleck has gone on record saying he doesn't want to play as Batman anymore, only to pull a 180 just days - sometimes hours later - and say he is committed to the role for the foreseeable future. But can Ben Affleck beat out the best Chris?

When recently asked by Extra TV if he'll be around for five movies, he offered a less than encouraging, "I don't know about that. we'll see what the future holds".

Affleck was initially in line to direct The Batman, before deciding to step down in order to focus on his performance. In fact, when Reeves jumped on board, he made it clear that he had a different vision for the film and would give it a new script.
