Biden: I Wouldn't Have Replaced Hillary

On Tuesday, former Vice President Joe Biden will publish his first book in 10 years: Promise Me, Dad, a memoir of his experiences in 2015, which included losing his 46-year-old son Beau to brain cancer.

Biden tells NBC's "Today" show he had decided not to run previous year, and says, "I would have never done that".

"No, I'm not closing the door".

He added, "I'm a great respecter of fate, but who knows what the situation is going to be in a year and a half?"

"It's mostly the military men that are around him that have been the stable factors in the conduct of the foreign policy, a lot of bravado, but he hasn't changed a whole lot so far", Biden admitted - which is still not exactly naming something Trump is doing well, but bless his heart for trying.

"I've done it a long time", the former senator from DE said.

The roster of Democrats considering a White House run has swelled well into the double-digits, with potential candidates emboldened by President Donald Trump's historically low poll numbers. He also writes about his decision not to seek the Democratic nomination for president in the 2016 election.

"Oh gosh, I don't know, " he said.

But Biden, who's been open about his financial struggles, said that he's always understood and represented the middle class and would connect better than Trump has with the "rust belt" and working class voters.

Biden, a former senator from DE who ran for president in 1987 and 2007, has spoken openly about regretting his decision not to run in 2016 and has been critical of Clinton's campaign. The Biden family would later choose President Obama to eulogize their husband, son, and father.

Biden, 74, cast some doubts on the prospect in a separate interview with Snapchat's "Good Luck America", which is not yet released but was seen by the Associated Press.

Biden also said once again that he hasn't decided about running in 2020.
