Respawn was an independent studio based in Los Angeles until today but it looks as though everything that they're now developing is still going ahead as planned such as the Star Wars action game, which EA had contracted Respawn to make earlier this year.

Venturebeat broke the news, saying EA paid $315 million in cash and stock, plus a possible bonus of $140 million to acquire the studio.

Respawn CEO Vince Zameplla told GamesBeat in an interview, "We have worked together a long time from the inception of the studio". Hidden alongside the acquisition announcement came other news though. EA will provide us with more resources, access to new technologies, and expertise that we can tap into to that will help us make better games, and Respawn will retain the same creative freedom and culture we've always had.

Green Bay have released tight end Martellus Bennett
Bennett was clearly banged up with injuries by the end of the season but showed toughness by plowing through them to keep playing. In any case, Rob Gronkowski remains entrenched as the Patriots' undisputed top tight end as long as he remains healthy.

"We've seen firsthand the world-class caliber of Respawn as a development studio with incredible vision, deep talent and an inspiring creative mindset", said Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, in a release.

Respawn is now developing a number of projects, including a brand new war-based VR game as well as a third-person action Star Wars game. EA has been a great partner over the years with Titanfall and Titanfall 2, and we're excited to combine our strengths.

While in the long term, the partnership is already resulting in Respawn working on a Star Wars game. "For fans, my message is we are still Respawn and we are going to make things better", said Zampella.

Biden: 'I Have a Regret That I Am Not President'
The interview comes as Biden continues to publicly ponder whether he'll jump into the 2020 race. "And I knew I wasn't", Biden said.

EA stated that Respawn has "multiple projects now in development", including the already announced Star Wars game, and "a new title in the Titanfall franchise". Titanfall 2 was tremendously received a year ago despite poor sales which are widely pinned on the timing of the launch.

Zampella has also stated there will be no layoffs or major organisational changes as part of the merger.

Aluminum foil can actually improve your wireless signal
The team successfully analyzed the space in a room and created a custom reflector that could improve Wi-Fi signals inside it. Not only does it make sure you have signal in the rooms you need it in, but it allows you to cut off signal where you don't.
