The Patriots are set to matchup with the Broncos in Denver on Sunday night. The Patriots started the season 2-2 but rebounded with wins over Tampa Bay, the Jets, Atlanta and the Chargers.

It was the seventh time in seven years the Patriots and Broncos have met in the regular season.

That led to 28-yard field goal from Patriots placekicker Stephen Gostkowski.

Ekeler's second touchdown from 22 yards out gave the Chargers a 14-6 lead with 10:29 to play in the third quarter. After three runs and a delay of game penalty on Los Angeles, Lambo nailed a 30-yard field goal to win the game.

The game got off to a promising start for Denver (3-6), with its defense forcing a three and out on New England's first drive.

After stopping the Patriots three-and-out on the opening drive of the game, wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie fumbled a punt that the Patriots recovered on the Broncos' 24-yard-line.

The incident during the punt came on a night that had already been awful for the Broncos special teams. But New England would once again hurt Denver on special teams, as Dion Lewis returned the ensuing kickoff 103 yards to push the lead out to 14-3. He dodged Shaquil Barrett at the 20, side-stepped a diving McManus near midfield and withstood a desperation shove by Devontae Booker near the sideline, staying in bounds to finish out the scoring run.

If all that wasn't enough, Broncos' punter Riley Dixon had his punt blocked by Burkhead. Broncos LB Todd Davis went out in the first half with an ankle injury.
