Abubakar Magaji, the permanent secretary, ministry of interior, has owned up to administrative lapses in the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman, Pension Reform Task Team.
"I challenge anyone who has documents showing that Maina was reinstated and assigned an office in the Ministry of Interior to show it".
"From our records, Maina last received salary from the Federal Government in February 2013". From March 2013, Maina was removed from the government's payroll.
"We have looked very well and we have no biometrics of Maina, so there is no way he could have received salaries", Adeosun said.
Ahmed stated that following reports that Maina was earning salaries, he investigated the matter and found the claim to be unsubstantiated.
He says the assets in possession of the anti-graft commission were seized in the process of investigations and were not shared by the EFCC as allegations said..
She said the Federal Civil Service Commission has constitutional mandate of overseeing all matters of appointment, promotion, reinstatement issues and disciplinary matters; while the Office of Head of Service has mandate to oversee career management issues, structure, training and welfare management in the service.
"We have checked our records and we have no record or evidence from the two platforms that salary was paid to Maina since March 2013".

He added: "The letter was scrutinised and fears expressed by Maina were also to a large extent established".
But last month he reported for duty at the Ministry of Interior after he was secretly reinstated.
"When I observed this upon resumption from sick leave, I quickly replied to the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, apologising to her about the reference letter". I did not reinstate Maina and I know my colleagues here didn't do that behind me, " said the Perm Sec.
Abubakar Malami defends that he did not take immediate action on the said letter because there were certain issues revolving around it which he needed time to review.
The HoS, who made the declaration, also said the Ministry of Interior acted on an advance copy sent to the Federal Civil Service Commission, which was for information goal.
"The meeting took the decision to reinstate Maina and copy of that meeting's minute was sent to the office of the Head of Service for further necessary action".
The EFCC acting chairman, who was speaking during the continuation of the investigative hearing of a House of Representatives panel, said his commission has all the evidence to show that Maina committed the crime. He said his reservations didn't allow him sign off on the final copy.
The immigration chief also explained that, at some point, Maina's name was removed from the stop list.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
