Apple will release a cheap iPad


As per latest report, Apple is planning to introduce a cheapest 9.7-inch iPad next year in March to attract more price-oriented customers. Today, a new report by Digitimes has surfaced stating, Apple might announce a 9.7-inch iPad at $259 (Approximately Rs 16,700) in 2018.

For fans and anyone coveting an iPad at a more affordable rate, there is still a few months to wait to find out.

The sources noted that Apple is likely to outsource production of a new iPad to power Taiwan's Compal Electronics, and printed circuit Board of the device will produce Compeq and Unitech Printed Circuit Board.

It is still not clear that whether the newer version of iPad will be replacement of the old one or will be completely different from the last year's iPad.

While there isn't an exact date of launch of the cheaper iPad, the report says that it could arrive in the second quarter of 2018. This move by Apple is going to create a buzz in the market. Neither Apple nor the said companies have commented on the rumor. Apple uses its mobile OS for its iPad, while the others typically run on Windows OS. This year's iPad has already seen a pickup in sales, especially in countries like China and India thanks to its mid-range price point. Apple has been aggressively pushing its iPad range with cheaper prices on the regular variant and major yearly updates for the iPad Pro. In the second case, the newer model might just be a slightly toned down version (specification-wise) of the current iPad with a similar design and camera sensor. As potential buyers of a budget tablet from Apple referred to as consumers of industrial sector and service sector.
