The speakers reflect on the horrors of that day, but also talk about the challenge many still face in a society where gender equality is still far from won. He shot and killed 14 women, while injuring 14 others.

Oil Falls on Rising US Gas Supplies
USA crude oil imports averaged 7.2 million barrels per day last week-a decrease of 127,000 barrels per day from the previous week. The API report showed an increase of 9.196 million barrels, compared to forecasts of a much smaller 1.145-million-barrel build.
Specifically, in 2015, the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC), of which the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) is an affiliate, partnered with the University of Western Ontario to conduct the first-ever Canadian survey on domestic violence in the workplace. Even when a person insists they meant nothing by it, it still promotes a culture of violence and discrimination that has serious and real impact on women. As part of this effort, we invite Canadians to share what they will do to end this violence by using the hashtag #MYActionsMatter and to take a pledge to help end gender-based violence. Women are also more likely than men to be victims of spousal abuse, homicide or sexual assault. We recognize the disproportionately high levels of violence faced by Indigenous women and girls, and trans individuals.
