The interview is being held behind closed doors, and Trump Jr. arrived out of sight of cameras through a back entrance.

The admission by his Trump's eldest son raises the question of how closely the Trumps coordinated on their response to the bombshell revelations and could bolster the case that President Trump participated in an effort to craft a false public explanation for the Trump Tower meeting.

Representative Adam Schiff, the committee's top Democrat, said that Trump Jr. told the committee he couldn't speak about the conversations with his father because of "attorney-client privilege".

The meeting, which lasted just under 8 hours, was the longest meeting the president's son has had before a Congressional Committee, compared to a previous meeting he had with the Senate Judiciary Committee for multiple hours in September.

This Aadhaar linking deadline is not changing
Appearing for the Centre, Attorney General KK Venugopal told the court that it was ready to extend the last date. Our goal is, all duplicate PANs should be eliminated which are not linked to Aadhaar card.

Why did he make that claim despite the fact that neither man is a lawyer?

"In my view, there is no attorney-client privilege that protects a discussion between father and son", Schiff said. But emails have shown Torshin trying to arrange a meeting with then-candidate Trump, an overture that was turned down by Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law. The White House confirmed the president was involved in drafting a response.

NBC News reported Tuesday that, in recent written testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee, Veselnitskaya said Trump Jr. had asked her in the June 2016 meeting for evidence of illegal donations to the foundation of former President Bill Clinton, the husband of Trump's Democratic election rival, Hillary Clinton. The statement said the Trump Tower meeting focused on "a program about the adoption of Russian children" that the Kremlin ended after the US imposed sanctions on Russian oligarchs in 2012.

The agreement for Goldstone to appear before the congressional Russia panels is the latest sign that the music publicist is ready to cooperate with the investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 United States elections. Goldstone has said he puffed up the language of the original email invitation, the contents of which were dictated to him by Agalarov-whose father is close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

China says Indian drone violated its airspace, crashed
Army chief Bipin Rawat had said in September that India could not afford to be complacent and must be prepared for war. The standoff began in mid-June after Chinese troops started building a road on the remote Doklam plateau.

Trump Jr. said he did not tell his father about the meeting when it happened, but did talk about it after emails about the gathering became public.

Trump Jr.'s attorney asked "for more time to deliberate" on whether to share additional information, and Schiff said Democrats will follow up on their request for details about what the Trumps discussed.

The Senate intelligence committee also hopes to interview Trump Jr. before the end of the year.

The Trump Tower meeting is also being investigated by Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller.
