As a part of its Big Shopping Days sale, Flipkart will be turning heads indeed when it puts the almighty Google Pixel 2 on sale with a heavy discount.
We won't know if that is the case until they begin rolling out the OTA update for 8.1, but Google did just announce the Android, Pixel, and Nexus security bulletin for this month. Interestingly, that's almost Rs. 20,000 discount from the original price on Google's flagship smartphone.
For those unaware, the Pixel 2 comes with a 5-inch Full HD display with 16:9 aspect ratio, a water and dust resistant aluminium unibody, a 12.2MP rear-camera with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP front snapper. Google claims that the fingerprint sensor is the fastest on a smartphone.
Huawei's Honor 7X India launch: Check out specs, price and features
The Honor 7X is powered by Huawei's own HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and a 3,3240mAh battery. The biggest talking points of the Honor 7X are its edge-to-edge display and the dual camera setup at the rear.
Android 8.1 isn't a huge update, but it does enable the Pixel Visual Core on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, which is a co-processor that improves the speed of taking HDR photos, as well as making them less of a drain on your phone's battery.
The biggest beneficiaries of Android 8.1 could be those on low-end devices though, as Google has also crafted the Android Oreo (Go edition).
Google has made a decision to go for a single camera setup similar to last year's Pixel phones.
