John Mayer was hospitalized for an emergency appendectomy in New Orleans on Tuesday morning.

John Mayer underwent an emergency appendectomy Tuesday morning, forcing the rocker to postpone a New Orleans Dead & Company show.

Driver struggled before school-bus crash
The bus was on its morning pick-up route when it crashed in Liberty County, said Mike Hodges, the county's public safety director. The school system is asking the community to keep those affected by the child's death in their thoughts and prayers.

The band announced the news to their fans over Twitter, mentioning that the lead singer and guitarists health will likely result in some scheduling changes.

A new date will be announced as soon as possible, and refunds are available at the point of purchase, according to the band.
