JuJu Smith-Schuster and George Iloka both suspended for one game

JuJu Smith-Schuster, who scored a touchdown against the Ravens and had 47 yards receiving in the Steelers' 26-9 victory at M&T Bank Stadium on October 1, has been suspended for one game by the National Football League for a violation of safety-related playing rules.

It's interesting that they both get the same suspension given to New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski for diving on Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White after the play was dead and giving him a concussion. He went right for Burfict's head, launching at an upward angle as the linebacker was in a defenseless position. I should've never stood over him.

There is no place in the National Football League for acts like this. Linebacker Ryan Shazier was lost for the Steelers and both rookie running back Joe Mixon and linebacker Vontaze Burfict took hits to the head and did not return. Then, he proved his ill intentions by taunting him afterward.

We are not just targeting Aso Rock, we are targeting the federal legislature, the state both the executive and legislature. He urged other defectors to return and help build the party.

Burfict was put on a backboard and carted off the field. I was trying to get a big block for Le'Veon Bell for him to get upfield.

"I'll stand by my statement last night that his actions after the hit are more disturbing than the actual hit", Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday.

Smith-Schuster was flagged for a hard block on Burfict; he hit him high and then stood over him, taunting him, after the play. "I apologize for that and with that being said, I hope he gets better".

"Oftentimes, plays like that are teachable moments and when you look at it, you have an opportunity to look at ways that things could be safer and things like that", Tomlin said.

There was certainly some retribution for the hit later in the game when Iloka delivered a wholly unnecessary helmet-to-helmet hit on Steelers wideout Antonio Brown as the receiver reeled in a touchdown from Ben Roethlisbeger. "My job as head coach here is to minimize those things before they occur".
