Mega Man 11 has been announced, looks like Mighty No. 9


Capcom also announced during the same stream that all eight numbered Mega Man X titles will be coming to Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at a later date, likely as part of a Mega Man X Collection.

Mega Man 11, due out in late 2018, features modern graphics and appears to retain familiar elements and enemies. The first ten Mega Man games will all be available, complete with amiibo support, giving fans around half a year to play through all ten of the original series games beforeMega and Rush make the jump from 8-bit to 2.5D at the end of the year.

Koji Oda has been tasked as the game's director, having previously worked as a director on Resident Evil 0 and Strider. This is a set of titles fans have no doubt been clamoring for, as the Mega Man X games are a beloved part of the series that have always been missed on modern consoles. Legacy Collection first came out on other platforms, with the first coming out on 3DS in early 2016. Mega Man X Collection and the two Legacy Collections are set for a 2018 release.

With that said, at the time of writing the Mega Man 30th anniversary livestream is still underway, so we can expect some more details.
