Square Enix has announced that they are officially working on a new Tomb Raider game!

The "major event" sounds like E3, and if they keep their promise the game should follow shortly on from the show in June. However, it now looks like Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are instead choosing to keep things under wraps for the foreseeable future. If you take the first letter from each sentence, they spell out the word "Shadow".

A new Tomb Raider game is coming. This announcement was made on the official Tomb Raider Twitter account with a statement that might also potentially hint at the subtitle for the game. Honestly, we wish we could share it with you right now, but we're taking a new approach this time.

The last game in the Tomb Raider series, Rise of the Tomb Raider, released in 2015 for Xbox One and PC before making it's way to PlayStation 4 a year later.
