Quake of magnitude 5 strikes North India, tremors felt in Delhi-NCR

Strong tremors were felt in Delhi and the National Capital Region this evening after a 5.5 magnitude quake struck Uttarakhand. Everything was moving for a while. After these shocks, people have an atmosphere of panic and came out of their homes as precaution. As per the reports, of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the quake was felt in different parts of the India and the epicentre was 121km, East of Dehradun.

Mild tremors were also felt in Dehradun, Patiala and Chandigarh today. It is also known as the third most earthquake-prone city in India. The hill state, a part of the Himalayan region, falls under a high seismic zone. Many people took to Twitter just after they felt the natural disaster. In the last 24 hours this is the second natural disaster in Uttarakhand. "The depth of the natural disaster was 30 km".
