If the latest leak is to be believed, Huawei is on the verge of a breakthrough in bringing insane camera specifications to smartphones. There were four different images added to their online portfolio which advertises devices in the Huawei PCE Series.

Prolific leaker Evan Blass shared some interesting news about Huawei's flagship smartphone for next year. According to a promotional image allegedly made by one of Huawei's creative agencies, the Huawei P11 may feature a 40MP Leica co-developed triple-lens camera setup with 5x hybrid zoom. While it's not clear how exactly Blass obtained these pictures, the fact that the images have since been removed from the source seems to suggest that the information is legitimate. Blass claims that the phone will feature a triple lens camera, and feature 40 megapixel sensor on the back.

Getty Museum holds fast against fire threat for now

Huawei has worked with camera company Leica ever since last year's P9, giving it a serious edge over the likes of Apple's iPhone X and Samsung's Galaxy Note 8. The lenses may not be the only trick that Huawei has up their sleeves, however, as the company has been targeting AI-based improvements for its cameras.

Just yesterday, Huawei's sub-brand Honor has launched the new Honor View 10 AI phones along with the budget-centric Honor 7X at an event held in London. It should also sport a high-resolution 24-megapixel selfie shooter. Seeing as how low-light performance is still one of the more problematic areas for smartphone cameras, this is great news, provided it's true of course.

After this recent leak, some consumers a little concerned given Huawei's recent philosophy when it comes to releasing new flagships.
