Showers and thunderstorms are developing across portions of central Louisiana as of 5:00 a.m. and will continue to move closer to Southwest Louisiana through the morning as a cold front approaches from the north. This evening the front will slide south through the area and tonight will be windy and cold. Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40s. Rain chances will increase from north to south across the area through Tuesday morning.
As of this morning, that is still the case. Factor in a gusty westerly breeze at 10 to 20 miles-per-hour that will add an additional chill and you'll feel the first signs of the impending colder weather pattern that is ours to keep for the foreseeable future.
Saturday: A few rain or snow showers possible.
The first part of Tuesday will be dry and temperatures will slowly rise through the 40s, ending at sunset.
