What the Hell Just Happened in Death Stranding's Game Awards Trailer


Kojima Productions gave an extended look at Death Stranding tonight at The Game Awards.

Mads Mikkelsen and Norman Reedus must be having a hell of time trying to figure out just what the heck is going on. Strange, invisible, alien-like creatures begin to slowly pick off the men one by one until only Reedus is left. We also see a member of the team stabbing himself to death; Norman Reedus' character floating underwater, alongside his crew mates; and the return of the baby whom we first saw in the game's very first trailer. "Once there was an explosion, a bang that gave rise to life as we know it", Reedus growls. There's plenty to dissect and think about, so we can't wait to see the theories that fans come up with concerning the latest video.

The trailer, as one might expect of Kojima, featured a lot of artistic imagery that somehow manages to inform the viewer while telling them absolutely nothing.
