ADEN/DUBAI, Dec 6 (Reuters) - A Saudi-led coalition stepped up air strikes on Yemen's Houthis on Wednesday as the Iran-allied armed movement tightened its grip on Sanaa a day after the son of slain former president Ali Abdullah Saleh vowed revenge for his father's death.

Meanwhile, Doctors Without Borders said patients were evacuated from a hospital in the northern province of Hajja, which is under Houthi control, after it came under airstrikes on Sunday.

It was unclear on Wednesday whether the Houthis had already buried Saleh's body.

Saleh on Saturday announced the end of his alliance with the Houthi rebels, with whom he has jointly ruled the capital for three years. They spoke on condition of anonymity, fearing reprisals.

The Houthis and Saleh's forces began fighting each other in Sanaa last week.
