After Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh ban Padmaavat

The film has received a clearance from the Central Board for Film Certification after the change of title and some script modifications.

The fringe right wing group Rajput Karni Sena continues to oppose the film, threatening to go to any extent to stop the film from being released. "They have changed the name of the film but that does not change anything", Parmar stated. The state's CM Vasundhara Raje said, "Honouring the sentiments of the people of the state, the film will not be released in Rajasthan".

The government officials have confirmed that Padmaavat won't be banned in the state. Besides him, actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were also named as accused.
