Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has refused to bite at Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte's latest comments as he wants to put an end to the war of words.

The former Juventus and Italy boss says that goes with the territory of working at Chelsea and does not happen at other clubs.

In a media conference on January 9, before his team's League Cup match against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on January 10, Conte said he would never forget what three-time English Premier League victor Mourinho, had said.

As per one of the recent reports by the Express, Newcastle United are interested in luring Chelsea's Brazilian starlet Kenedy to St. James' Park in a loan deal.

April 2017: As Chelsea closed in on the title, Conte offered Mourinho, who spent over £150 million on new signings, a reminder.

"At the general level, what I can say is myself and the Manchester United board, and the owners, we don't believe a lot in the January market. I've got no concerns at all about Chelsea who were immaculate as they were in the summer, absolutely immaculate", he said.

Jan 4, 2018: Mourinho suggested that he has mellowed over the years, unlike the likes of Conte. This is football, our job is very hard as you know, everything can change a few times.

Conte insisted he was happy at Chelsea, however, and said he would "never give up" trying to do his best for the club.

Asked if the League Managers' Association (LMA) should now step in to try to fix the damage between the pair, Conte said: "This is not a problem from the club, it is a problem between me and him. And for me, contempt means end of the story". "Me and the club know very well this situation and for this reason we must have patience to understand there is a process, and we are ready to face this process".

When asked if he was content at Chelsea given all the speculation about his future, he added: "Yes, I'm happy".

With Premier League title way out of sights, both Conte and Mourinho will try to lead their team as far as they can into the Champions League.

"They're completely out of their minds", said former Real Madrid manager Capello, now coaching in China with Jiangsu Suning.
