The clarification was reported by Game Informer, who said that Bandai Namco has confirmed there are now no plans to release the Dark Souls trilogy box set "in the Americas". It's rather expensive, though. The US version of the Bandai Namco Store initially included information on a "50% loyalty discount reward for PC upgrades on Steam", namely for those that own the Prepare to Die Edition of the original game. The publisher has listed this as an art image, meaning that the game may or may not look like this.
The Dark Souls Trilogy box set will release in Japan on May 25 for 49,800 yen.

Sure, Dark Souls III is the "big closure" to the series, but Miyazaki never ruled out FromSoft revisiting earlier games in the series since remastering games is all the rage these days. Its terrors emanate from its very core, each step bringing you closer to another inevitable death. Then again, the fact that the Remaster is coming out on all consoles simultaneously probably means there won't be too much special Nintendo consideration for it.
