First Photos of 'Handmaid's Tale' Season 2 Tease Bloody Offred


After a fantastic spell of win at Emmys, Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, the dystopic alternate reality show is one of the most highly anticipated shows of the year. Another photo sees the Handmaids walking through a graveyard amid a heavy snow. One can safely assume that this might be a punishment for protesting against the system in the last season.

The disturbing landscape forbids women from working or being out in public alone; refers to homosexuals as "gender traitors", and forces women to become breeding factories in a world where a government conspiracy led to a dwindling in fertility rates.

Lo to star on Will & Grace
The "If You Had My Love" performer is the latest in the huge names to make a comeback in the hit "Will & Grace" revival. The Will & Grace team recently confirmed the development and shared a picture of the crew with Jennifer welcoming her.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Bruce Miller revealed that this new season is also set to give us a glimpse into the lives of the refugees who have managed to escape Gilead. She certainly doesn't look injured, leaving fans to wonder whose blood that is. Is she being punished for raising her voice against the cruelty?

According to Hulu, season two will be "shaped by Offred's pregnancy and her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead". In Season Two, Offred and all our characters will fight against - or succumb to - this dark truth, ' says the official synopsis. Other returning cast members include Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, and Max Minghella. Alternately, this photo could be of June prior to her final transformation into a Handmaid.
