We've been following Henrik Fisker's new company closely, and have taken a keen interest not just in his Fisker EMotion luxury electric sedan, but also in the battery and charging technology the company's been developing. The front doors open up and out and the rear doors open opposite direction. The EMotion is AWD and rolls on 24-inch low rolling resistance Pirelli tires.
Equipped with five LIDAR sensors, the EMotion is said to be capable of up to level four autonomous driving. The auto is about 197 inches long, with an overall height of about 52 inches, but Fisker says the packaging of the electric powertrain allows for a more spacious interior than most vehicles of this size. Fisker has not announced the specs besides the 400 mile range and that the EMotion can reach a top speed of 161 miles per hour.
Let's talk more about that interior, as this is the first time we've gotten such a close look at it.
Hugh Grant expecting fifth child
The baby-to-be will be Hugh's fifth child overall and his third with Anna, a 39-year-old Swedish television producer. Caralynn is a writer, native New Yorker, TV enthusiast, and dog mom to Hobbes.
"With the EMotion", explains Fisker, "we're introducing edgy, dramatic and emotionally-charged design/proportions, complemented with technological innovation that moves us into the future".
The car's cabin is covered in soft-touch leather, with a vegan-friendly interior optional.
Inside, there are three screens streaming information to the driver - one curved infotainment screen atop the dashboard, one more iPad-like device in the central dashboard beneath it, and one in place of traditional dials.
How is Starbucks' new blonde espresso? Here's a review
For those asking what the difference between the Signature and Blonde espressos are, Starbucks has been kind enough to answer. The new espresso was also tested in the Austin and Tampa markets last spring before the company chose to take it nationwide.
The EMotion is available as a four-seater with electric seat adjustment for each passenger, or as a five-seater with a rear bench seat.
"We're incredibly excited to showcase working solid-state batteries and the vehicle, in-person, on such a massive global stage".
The Fisker EMotion, tipped for a release in 2019, is reportedly able to cover a minimum of 400 miles on a single charge, topping out at 161mph. The roof, meanwhile, features a large piece of electrochromic glass that offers four-zone adjustability. While Fisker is still using a Lithium-ion battery, the auto manufacturer has been able to construct a battery pack capable of both cooling efficiently and packing in cells tightly. These batteries will more than double the energy density of lithium-ion.
Panthers fire offensive coordinator Shula, QBs coach Dorsey
He could also lose defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, who has interviewed for some of the league's head coaching vacancies. The Panthers reached the playoffs with an 11-5 record this season but the offense struggled to find consistency all season.
