Her body was found Tuesday.

Florida police have arrested three people connected to a botched murder-for-hire plot.

"I get emotional because it touches me so deeply that one of our citizens was killed in such a manner over a mistaken identification and in the end it appears to be a lover's triangle", Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson said at a press conference Friday.

"I don't say that lightly, that this woman lost her life for no reason". But, they soon discovered it was the wrong woman, 42-year-old Janice Marie Zengotita Torres.

Authorities say that Zengotita-Torres, who was a mother to a 14-year-old son, was found Monday, Jan. 8. "This mother, this wife, this daughter, for no reason at all", Gibson said, WESH reported.

According to investigators, Ishnar Lopez-Ramos, 35, allegedly hired Glorianmarie Quinones-Montes, 22, and Alexis Ramos-Rivera, 22, to kill a woman in a relationship with a man she loved.

Sheriff Russell Gibson says all three of the suspects confessed and that their arrests may not have happened without some close work that was done with the victim's family. She had been beaten and suffocated.

Zengotita-Torres worked at the same store as the intended target and the two looked similar, investigators said.

The suspects took after the wrong lady out of the dim store and to her condo where they "coercively put the casualty into the back of her own vehicle, and afterward headed out", Gibson said.

She chose to contract Alexis Ramos-Rivera and his sweetheart, Glorianmarie Quinones Montes, to slaughter the lady, yet they confused Zengotita-Torres for their objective and stole her. They then drove to a nearby bank where they allegedly withdrew money from the woman's account using her ATM card, according to the sheriff's office.

Police officials arrested Lopez-Ramos after she was caught wearing Zengotita-Torres's clothes on a surveillance camera while trying to use the victim's ATM card.

Lopez reportedly gave up the names of the other two suspects. However, at some point during the attack, they discovered that they had picked up the wrong person but still chose to move forward with the murder.

The three suspects, all of whom moved to Florida from Puerto Rico on December 26, told authorities it was a botched murder-for-hire plot in which Zengotita-Torres was mistakenly targeted.
