According to regulator filings, the shares of Redux' holding company were transferred to Alphabet in early December past year. On Redux CEO Nedko Ivanov's LinkedIn page, it shows that he left the company in August 2017.

Last year, it received £3.7 million ($5 million) from an array of investors, including Arie Capital.

Tour India with 'increased caution', says new USA travel advisory
The Department of State advises that US citizens not travel to the country or leave as soon as it is safe to do so. Many countries in Western Europe, where there have been terrorist attacks in recent years, are listed as level 2.

Google has declined to comment on the acquisition, including how much might have been paid for Redux. "When it comes to mobile phones, we are not only saving valuable real estate and creating a waterproof housing, we are eliminating the need for additional speaker holes and most importantly, improving the audio quality". Redux's technology could also be used create haptic feedback - which gives the sense of touch on a surface such as a screen.

Redux isn't the only company looking to transform screens into speakers.

Black Widow movie finally happening, writer hired
There's more great news because The Wrap reports that Jac Schaeffer is set to write a script for a Black Widow standalone movie. Johansson made her debut as the super-assassin turned superhero way back in the early days of the MCU in 2010's Iron Man 2 .

So far, Redux has only been able to integrate its technologies inside PCs and some infotainment systems for vehicles, but none have made its way to commercially available mobile devices yet.

Redux has demoed its technology on smartphone and tablet displays, in the past, and that very well may be Google Inc (GOOG)'s core intended use for this exciting technology. But in the recent years, Google and other Alphabet subsidiaries have started focussing quite a lot on hardware products including Pixel smartphones, which seems like a good place to use the tech. The notion that Google could do away with dedicated speakers in future Pixel phones sounds like an even more appealing option, however.

Mets still need to do more after signing Jay Bruce
To this point, New York's biggest move had been the $14 million, two-year contract it gave to free-agent reliever Anthony Swarzak. Bruce will likely fill the role he did previous year , playing a corner outfield spot but also occasionally playing first base.

Google has remained quiet on the acquisition of Redux. At the CES consumer electronics conference in Las Vegas this week, Google is heavily promoting its voice-controlled speakers that compete with Amazon.com Inc.'s Echo device.
