Barcelona have confirmed the departure of Javier Mascherano with the Argentina worldwide now expected to complete his proposed move to Hebei China Fortune in the coming days.

Javier Mascherano will leave Barcelona this week after seven-and-a-half years at the Catalan giants, the club confirmed on Tuesday. He is reportedly going to play in China. Local reports suggested Barca will receive around €10m from Hebei Fortune for the transfer. Mascherano - one of the captains of the Blaugrana team - will have the chance to bid his fans farewell before the second leg match against Espanyol on Thursday.
