Lanzini, Arnautovic inspire West Ham win at Huddersfield

Ian Wright has predicted in The Sun that West Ham United will win against Huddersfield Town in the Premier League this afternoon.

With just two goals in their last four league games the lack of a clinical edge offered West Ham the impetus to work their way into the match, to which they did with great effect.

The game was level at the break, with Joe Lolley have equalised before the interval after the home side gifted Mark Noble the opener.

However, it was West Ham who broke the deadlock just before the half hour after a mistake by Lolley from Lossl's short goal kick.

Temperatures will drop from the upper 20's for tailgaters to the low 20's by the time that Pats are celebrating their victory. Around dawn on Saturday we will have temperatures near 60 over parts of southeast Mass. and in the 20s in western Mass.

Huddersfield rallied, however, and David Wagner's team could have equalised when Ince and striker Laurent Depoitre combined, but the chance was wasted when the former's across had too much pace for his French teammate.

The second half couldn't have started any worse for Huddersfield.

Cheikhou Kouyate headed on and Arnautovic flicked the ball over defender Tommy Smith and smashed home West Ham's second inside Lossl's right-hand post.

A neat Huddersfield move on the right ended up at Lolley's feet, he cut inside and was given plenty of time to curl a sumptuous shot out of Adrian's reach.

The second period was once again troubling as Anderson gave up three goals on four shots in a span of 4:39. "We made mistakes. Defensively, the Minnesota Wild are allowing 2.9 goals per game and are killing 82.8 percent of their opponents power plays.

Huddersfield were undone again by Arnautovic five minutes later. At this stage in proceedings Lanzini and Arnautovic looked lively on receiving possession, but were met by opposition traffic when it came to trying to do anything with it.

Three soon became four as Lanzini and Arnautovic ran riot in the final third, with the Austria worldwide using his pace and power to steam into the box before Lanzini latched onto the leftovers to fire the ball into the roof of the net in the 61st minute.

Alex Pritchard, signed this week from Norwich for a reported £12million, stepped off the bench to make his Huddersfield debut with 25 minutes left and recent loan signing Terence Kongolo made his league bow soon after. Would they respond well enough for him.

"Transition was a big part of training this week, but you see the goals we've conceded today and you can't make these mistakes if you want to pick up points in the Premier League".
