Leon Britton rules himself out of Swansea job

Swansea parted ways with Paul Clement on Wednesday after he failed to improve their results as the Welsh outfit remained rooted to the bottom of the Premier League this season.

Former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs applied for a vacancy at Swansea a year ago, losing out to Bob Bradley — the predecessor to Clement.

The Swans lost 3-1 to the resurgent Everton at the weekend, a club that were also in turmoil earlier in the season before they sacked Ronald Koeman and replaced him with Sam Allardyce.

Walcott leaves Arsenal to join Everton
Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has completed his medical with Everton and agreed personal terms, Press Association Sport understands. The England worldwide spent 12 years with the Gunners and scored 108 goals in 397 appearances in all competitions.

"To change the manager, especially at only the halfway point of the season, is the last thing we wanted to do as a club", Jenkins said.

Past year it was Francesco Guidolin who was sacked in October after a bad start to the season.

Like Pulis, Koeman is a manager with Premier League experience now unemployed. "Because then I can get the chance to get one over Manchester United". They opened new contract talks with Mawson some time back - he has two and a half years remaining on his current deal - and those discussions remain ongoing, with Swansea hopeful that an agreement can be reached.

Britton was appointed Swansea assistant coach on 13 November, 2017 filling the role vacated by Claude Makelele who took over Belgian top-flight club K.A.S Eupen.
