LG Pay Coming to U.S. by June

Samsung Pay, Android Pay (soon to be Google Pay), and Apple Pay have been around for some time now in the USA and various regions, but another mobile payment system will soon be joining it. LG Pay will be launched in the U.S. soon after enjoying moderate success in its native South Korea. Currently, the service of the LG Pay is available only in South Korea, the home country of LG and expected t expand to more countries. The third competitor, Android Pay (now Google Pay), is available in 17 countries. If and when it does, it will be directly competing with Samsung Pay in features. The reason why Android Pay has failed to make the cut till now, is because Google apparently believes that the service would make little sense here. Initially, LG was rumored to be developing a programmable "White Card" to be used in traditional terminals.

The next time you make a purchase from Google or from any of its partners - Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse, Instacart and other services - you'll see Google Pay as an option. This is because unlike in the West, India doesn't have to deal with "n" number of payments apps ala Google. Tez is translated to mean "fast" in Hindi, and comes with a digital wallet that will enable users in India to store currency.
