With Philippe Coutinho leaving Liverpool to join Barcelona for a fee of £142 million, speculation about the Reds signing Lemar has intensified again.

Speaking to the media this week, Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim refused to rule out a sale this transfer window.

Thomas Lemar is widely thought to be the favourite, with the Gunners having had a £92m bid accepted back on transfer deadline day in the summer, although there is plenty of competition for his signature with Liverpool also thought to be interested.

"Today, the market is open. Things happen that even a club like Monaco can not say no to", Jardim said. You know how insane the market is.

The Frenchman will be even more furious if he is beaten to the punch by Liverpool this month, however, as Jurgen Klopp earmarks Lemar as the man to take Coutinho's place in his pacy attacking Reds side. With surging interest of the top clubs in their prized possession, Monaco have chose to encash big on Lemar and have demanded a whopping £90 million for his services. "What I tell you today can be different tomorrow".

With a little less than three weeks left in the transfer window, Jardim is expected to have more uncertain days over Lemar's future at the Stade Louis II. I still want to keep Lemar.

The Hammers could miss out on the 26-year-old, though, after Valencia made a £12m offer.

Of course, we're all well aware that Jurgen Klopp could hold off from signing a Lemar or a Riyad Mahrez this month and wait to get his man in the summer in what he would view as the ideal circumstances. If I stayed here for 10 years, I'd want Lemar to stay with me for 10 years. "He's got a lot of qualities and I like him a lot".
