National Basketball Association suspends Rockets' Trevor Ariza and Gerald Green two games each


The league's investigation further concluded that Rockets players, James Harden and Chris Paul, followed Ariza and Green into the corridor outside the locker room in an effort to defuse the situation, and accordingly, discipline is not warranted.

Ariza - who was ejected and had exchanged words with Austin Rivers throughout the end of the game - apparently went to the Clippers' locker room with a singular objective, but Paul and Harden tagged along to make sure things didn't escalate, at least according to the National Basketball Association.

The Rockets listed Harden as questionable on their Wednesday injury update.

Green and Ariza will miss the Rockets next two games - both home contests against potential Western Conference Playoff opponents - Thursday against the resurgent Minnesota Timberwolves and on Saturday against the defending World Champion Golden State Warriors.

"I think we were comfortable", Butler said. "Other than the locker room stuff".

"I thought the whole thing, in this day and time, was much ado about nothing", Rivers said.
