The Fritz Pollard Alliance called for the National Football League to investigate whether the Raiders violated the rule after owner Mark Davis indicated he and Gruden met on Christmas Eve, a week before the season ended, and Davis felt Gruden was "all in" on being the Raiders coach then.

The NFL will "look into" the Raiders for a potential violation of the Rooney Rule, a league spokesman said via email on Thursday.

The movie, which co-stars Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed , Woody Harrelson, and Jenny Slate , is expected to arrive October 5. Hard to tell, but it does look like the film will follow Brock's origins to becoming Venom closely.

The rule requires teams to interview at least one minority candidate for head coach and general manager openings. Oakland appeared to fulfill the mandate by interviewing its tight ends coach, Bobby Johnson, and USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin. Davis said Tuesday at Gruden's introduction that he felt Gruden was "all in" on becoming Oakland's head coach when the two met in Philadelphia on December 24. Carr's regression along with the rest of the offense certainly played a role in Jack Del Rio getting the boot, so it makes sense for Gruden to focus in on his quarterback right from the start. "I hope it doesnt come to that, but I would definitely consider it", he told ESPN ahead of Pittsburghs division game against the Jaguars on Saturday.

Mehri lauded Al Davis as a pioneer in promoting opportunities for women and minorities. It will be his first coaching position in the NFL. He hired Amy Trask as a top executive.

"I've known Jon Gruden for a long time and I thought about it", said Gannon, who met with Gruden on Wednesday in the Bay Area. "But if there is a closed process and those minority candidates were going through the motions and had no idea there was already an agreement, that is not fair to them and it is not fair to the next guy coming up through the ranks".
