Samsung unveils autonomous driving, infotainment solutions

Each new solution was made possible through the HARMAN-Samsung alliance that leverages Samsung's global scale, R&D capabilities, dominance in mobile/TV/semiconductors and distribution channels and HARMAN's leading connected vehicle heritage, relationships, market knowledge and growing community of innovation partners.

It also uses Samsung's Bixby voice assistant, which offers automotive-optimised control functions such as moving the QLED display or changing the colours of ambient lighting. While many other self-driving auto platforms keep its software out of reach from outside companies, Harman is taking a different road with DRVLINE, hoping to find the fast lane by letting outside companies develop products and services for it. They'll bring mobility to people who need it, make our roads safer, and revolutionize our communities. The challenge is simple too big and too complex.

5 maps showing what to expect from the weather Friday and Saturday
Most of the state will see between 2-4 inches of rain, in addition to melting snow from high temperatures in the upper 50s. The cold returns in force Saturday night when a low of 11 is predicted along with wind chills as low as 0.

Finally, Samsung and HARMAN announced its new open and modular DRVLNE platform for LEVEL 3, 4, and 5 automation. The platform has lane departure warning, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking.

It hasn't been a year since HARMAN International became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics focused on connected technologies for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, and the two companies have already leveraged their combined teams and resources to drive future mobility forward. Harman and Samsung are set to deliver what they say is an industry first 5G-ready automotive solution, with a multi-band conformal antenna to enable secure, fast and reliable data communications. How long until the yellow light turns red? "The DRVLINE platform with its open and high-level compute capability is a first major first step toward building an ecosystem to support full autonomy".

Mini Cooper Gets Cosmetic and Tech Upgrades That Add Personality
Telephony with wireless charging is integrated and there are Mini logo projections from the exterior mirror on the driver side. Inside, there's a new leather seat upholstery and a piano black package for the doors, centre console and instrument panel.

It also pairs with Samsung's Android operating system, allowing smartphone users to have all their subscription services, such as Spotify and Audible, seamlessly integrated into the car's infotainment system.

When Samsung acquired HARMAN International for 8 billion in March previous year, little did we foresee announcements coming from the coalition this early.

ASUS Republic of Gamers unveils latest gaming lineup at CES 2018
Next up is the Asus Bezel-free Kit, which is made of vertical refractive lenses meant to hide the bezels in multi-monitor setups. That's backed up with one of Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards, and 8GB of DDR4 system RAM (running at 2666MHz).

HARMAN and Samsung are on a joint mission to excel as far as the future goes.
