The Consumer Electronics Show lost electricity because irony knows no bounds

Technology brands including Intel and IBM have been quick to jump into the social conversation with a tongue-in-cheek brand approach after a blackout struck the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Power was fully restored at 2:10 p.m., as was shared by the organizers of CES 2018.

The trade fair is marketed as the "world's gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies".

Coaches will then choose the reserves and the two top vote-getters from each conference get to pick their teammates from the pool. Toronto's DeMar DeRozan is second among East guards with 537,168 votes and Philadelphia rookie Ben Simmons is third with 397,942.

On Las Vegas' physical streets, traffic crawled on Tuesday as thousands of CES attendees shuttled between hotels and conference venues in heavy rain.

Today at approximately 11:15 AM, the Central Hall and South Hall bridge meeting rooms at the Las Vegas Convention Center lost power. This resulted in attendees getting led out of the affected areas until power could be restored. For an event that showcases the latest and greatest of technological advances, a power outage is all it takes to bring all of it down to earth.
