The show goes on at Echo Arena following car park fire

Emergency Services are advising anyone affected by the fire at Liverpool Echo Arena auto park to direct any vehicle enquiries to their insurance companies (quoting reference number 650 of December 31) and not to call the emergency services. They said the fire appeared to start in the engine of an older Land Rover and quickly spread.

Mr Prattey added: "We are sorry to customers who were due to attend the evening performance of the Liverpool International Horse Show, which was cancelled as a result of the fire, as well as those people whose vehicles were in the auto park and who have been affected by this awful situation".

The multi-story garage is next to the arena, which was hosting the Liverpool International Horse Show when the blaze broke out.

Thankfully it seems the cars got the worst of it, with Merseyside Fire Service reporting no one was severely injured in the blaze.
