Vice President Pence calls Stormy Daniels' report on Trump affair 'baseless'

U.S. vice president Mike Pence has said reports that an adult film star had an alleged affair with President Donald Trump are "baseless allegations". Cohen has denied there was a relationship between Trump and Daniels. The watchdog group Common Cause on Monday filed a complaint against the Trump campaign over the alleged payout.

"I'm just not going to comment on the latest baseless allegations against the president", Pence said.

For those behind on the drama, these accusations claim that Trump's personal lawyer paid off Daniels in October 2016 to prohibit the porn star from speaking out on their alleged affair before the election.

When the Princess' father popped the question to Duchess Fergie, he gave her a pink Burma ruby which was surrounded by diamonds. Hours later the Palace released the couple's official engagement portrait, taken in the portrait gallery of Buckingham Palace .

Last Friday, InTouch magazine published a lengthy 2011 interview with Daniels in which she details how her affair with Trump unfolded - an account corroborated by some of Trump's tweets from years gone by.

He called their sexual encounter "textbook generic" and said they didn't use protection, while adding that Trump had compared the porn star to his eldest daughter, Ivanka, now a top White House adviser.

The Daniels' story reared its head again once Trump was running for president.

The source of that money is still unknown, with Common Cause filing its complaints against a 'John Doe, ' along with The Trump Organization and Donald J. Trump For President, Inc.

In the FEC complaint, Common Cause charges the money should have been reported as an in-kind contribution to Trump's campaign, and as an expenditure to Clifford, because the objective of the payment was to influence the presidential election.

Michael Cohen, a longtime lawyer for Trump, denied the Journal's allegations and released a statement from Daniels denying any "sexual and/or romantic affair" with Trump or the receipt of any "hush money" from Trump.
