Intel has been busy over the past week making firmware updates available, and Krzanich said more than 90 percent of Intel processors will have an update available by the end of the week, with the remainder by the end of January.

At CES 2018, Intel revealed a revolutionary technology, meant to change the entertainment industry. They included an instrument-free musical performance by an "algorithm-and-blues" band, an autonomous driving demonstration by Intel partner Mobileye, a flight demonstration of the electric Volocopter, and a Guinness record-breaking show of 100 drones operating without Global Positioning System control. Quantum computing is the ultimate in parallel processing, and Krzanich noted it has the potential to compute at a far greater speed than anything ever achieved before.

The company didn't respond to inquiries about the timing of Krzanich's divestments, but a spokeswoman told MarketWatch it was unrelated to the security flaws.

Panthers admit Cam Newton embellished injury to buy time
The NFL confirmed after the game at Mercedes-Benz Superdome that it was investigating the Panthers' treatment of Newton. The Daily News reported that Newton was taken to the Panthers' medical tent and not the locker room.

Intel boss Brian Krzanich took to the stage at CES to address the Meltdown and Spectre news, as well as announcing the firm's plans for quantum computing. "And I'm confident that [will] transform our lives for the better". Krzanich announced that over 2 million vehicles from prominent automakers, like BMW, Nissan, and Volkswagen will use the REM technology to crowdsource massive amounts of data to build economical and scalable "high-definition maps".

Earlier in his presentation, Krzanich showed off the cameras that provide the wraparound views of sporting events and announced that Intel has opened a testing studio in Southern California to experiment with using the same technology to make movies.

Krzanich assured the audience that Intel was committed to addressing the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities. There are three high-resolution cameras at the front of the vehicle that enable a 180-degree view field and the auto image processor is able to see at a distance of up to 300 meters. One quarter of a football game would generate more data than the entire Library of Congress.

James McClean's house burgled during West Brom defeat to West Ham
A previous game between the teams in October was marred by two Falkirk players - Joe McKee and Kevin O'Hara - taunting Shiels. West Ham were crying out for Carroll to get into the game and give them something to believe in. 'We'll be getting out of it.

"There's quite a bit more work required than just this chip, but this is a major breakthrough in quantum computing", Krzanich said.

Beyond autonomous cars, Krzanich also demonstrated the Volocopter, a fully electric, vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed for passenger transport. In addition, SAIC will develop Level 3, 4 and 5 cars in China based on Mobileye technology.

Preston weather warning upgraded as Storm Eleanor looms
A spokesperson said: Storm Eleanor will ease but strong winds, large waves and a higher than average tide will continue. In Austria, about 20 skiers in the Alpine town of Kitzbühel were rescued after strong winds dislodged a cable vehicle .

Krzanich finished his speech by having an autonomous Volocopter lift off and hover in the air onstage.
