In a bid to promote more "meaningful" posts for its users, Facebook is now testing a downvote button for flagging comments.

Facebook is working on a new feature that will let users report inappropriate and abusive comments by clicking a downvote button.

As the prime aim of designing the downvote button is to help Facebook receive feedback directly from users, downvote view counts are not being visible to users, as appeared in screenshots by social media strategist Christina Hudler in a tweet.

US Misses Opportunity For Peace Progress At Olympics
North Korea has spent years developing its military, saying it needs to protect itself from U.S. aggression. Moon and Abe met Friday hours before the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .

Refuting any testing for a dislike button and detailing the arrival of the downvote button, a Facebook spokesperson TechCrunch, "We are not testing a dislike button". "That's why today we are launching Reactions, an extension of the Like button, to give you more ways to share your reaction to a post in a quick and easy way". "This is running for a small set of people in the US only", a Facebook spokesperson told MSN News. Moreover, the visibility of the post to which the comments were made would not be negatively impacted, so others would still be able to see the post in their news feeds. Well, its not going to happen anytime soon as back in 2015, Mark Zuckerberg himself told that the people at Facebook don't want to turn their social network into forum where people vote up or down on others posts.

The downvote for comments is being tested among a small group of users and of course there's no way to force yourself into that subset. And hence, don't forget to comment your opinions on Facebook below.

If we talk more about this feature, Facebook has rolled out this feature to over 5% of the users in the United States for Android platform.

After smartphones began to spread among many users, and the number of users of social networking platforms and online services for major websites keeps. Unlike reactions, there will be no downvoting count as well.
