Officials said Sunday that suspect, Quentin Smith, was hospitalized in stable condition and is expected to survive. He left prison in 2011 and was released from parole, called community control in Ohio, in November 2013, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. He has been charged with aggravated murder. "This was their calling, and they did it right". Court records didn't show an attorney for him. Smith was punished with 15 days in a cell segregated from the general population.

Another report from Fox News revealed how Smith, a convicted felon, was able to obtain a gun he was legally prohibited from possessing.

However, there is much more to the campaign than giving well-deserved support to our fearless police officers. We must keep the police independent, and not allow them to be controlled by the federal government.
