Hate The Latest Update? How To Get The Old Snapchat Design Back

Snapchat has rolled out an update to users in the United Kingdom - and if the reaction of people in Nottingham is anything to go by, it hasn't gone down well. Today Snapchat launches Custom Lenses, expanding its on-demand geofilter program so you can make temporary, geofenced AR effects that people can add to their Snaps at a special event.

The new version of Snapchat started reaching users around the turn of the year, but the company is now stepping up the rollout. Before looking at ways to go back to the old Snapchat design, let's first see what the update brings. The Stories page that allows you to post pictures and videos has been removed.

As a result, Chats and Stories from friends have moved to the left of the Snapchat camera screen that appears upon opening the app, with Stories from publishers to the right on the new look Discover page. The Friends page uses an algorithm to show you the list of people you like to chat with the most.

Kim Kardashian Shares Throwback Bikini Pic Taken by Paris Hilton
One user wrote, *"There's nothing wrong with her daughter taking a picture of her.it's not disrespectful or anything like that". This week, Kim also shared a shot of herself donning a bikini back in 2007.

While users are annoyed by the redesign, a Snapchat spokesperson told The Sun that it is a huge update and it would require "a little getting used to". Then they add a custom caption like "Happy Birthday, Josh!" using Snapchat's new fonts we scooped last week including Brush, Italic, Glow, Gradient, Rainbow, Fancy, and Old English. If you want to remain on the older version, you can turn off automatic app updates on your iPhone or Android device.

Unlike Android users, you can't disable auto-update for individual apps.

Feedback from Snapchat users on Twitter has been overwhelmingly negative. Most of the features were shuffled around, causing confusion among most of the app users.

Here's to hoping Snapchat hears the internet's cries!

Plenty are trying to find a way to downgrade the app back to its previous state, whilst others are so unimpressed with the update that they want to ditch their Snapchat account completely.

If you own an iPhone or iPad, you can download the older version of Snapchat via iTunes. Although you can remove them from the feed by clicking on the "See less like this" option, users complained that it gets certain people more coverage to gain more followers they don't necessarily deserve. This prevents any unnecessary updates such as the Snapchat one. Now tap on the X in the top-left corner to delete the app.
