Instagram Enables Screenshot Alert to Align With Snapchat

The test users are now receiving a pop-up that warns them that the next time they take a screenshot of a person's story the person will be made aware of it.

Basically, Instagram Stories is the exact same feature as was seen earlier on Snapchats where it was called as Snap.

While not all users now have this feature, there's no saying whether or not it will even reach the majority of its users. With this new feature, a circle shutter icon will display next to the name of the account that has screen grabbed your content. Story owners otherwise won't be alerted when someone takes a screenshot - they can only tell after manually checking the "seen by" list.

On November 29 2012, the United Nations designated Palestine as a non-member observer state after a vote by the General Assembly. Trump went on to say that controversial Israeli land settlements have played a muddled the peace process.

Most probably Instagram is testing this feature to see if it has any prominent impact on the user engagement, before finalizing the decision whether the company should roll out the feature for all users or not.

Of course, Instagram have previously notified users if anyone takes a screenshot of a direct message, so that is highly unlikely to change regardless of the response to this new test.

An Instagram spokesman said: "We are always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram and make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you".

Texthelp's chief technology officer Martin McKay has released a statement, saying the compromise was a criminal act. Trócaire, the Irish aid agency, and the Department of Agriculture were also listed on the database.

Understandably, this feature is introduced for privacy reasons as there were cases where the screenshots from Instagram Stories were misused by people.

Alternatively, you can also resort to a dedicated third-party app, like Story Reposter, to pull off the same trick. It has been pointed out by users that putting your phone in airplane mode (thus cutting off all connections) will let you take screenshots without the other user knowing, although it can be troublesome and you might forget.
