Kim Cattrall Accuses Sarah Jessica Parker Of Exploiting Brother's Death

Following the death of Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall's brother, Chris Cattrall, this week, Cattrall's former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker shared her condolences via Instagram.

'You are not my family.

Cattrall had previously used Instagram to thank her SATC colleagues for their "outpouring of support", but it seems that Parker's offer of condolence was less welcome than others'. "So I'm writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your "nice girl" persona". You are not my friend.

This is understandable. A few days earlier she had posted on Twitter that her beloved younger brother, Chris, was missing and pleaded for help in finding him.

As a player who repeatedly dominated the headlines as an assured exit, this will be an immensely welcome lifeline for the lad. It's just about that. "I think you say "fulfil the potential" - it is just about that".

Her brother's tragic death came just hours after she'd launched an appeal online, asking people to keep a look out for him.

She also included a link to a story by the New York Post in the caption about the "mean-girls culture" the paper claims "destroyed" the HBO series.

She told Entertainment tonight: 'If somebody in your life, whether you're in touch with them or not, [is] suffering for any reason, it's involuntary that you want to convey condolences or sadness or just let someone know you're thinking about them'.

The rest of the cast publicly spoke about their disappointment, and Parker was, in particular, extremely vocal about her feelings.

The former costars have been feuding ever since rumors started swirling that Cattrall was behind the ultimate demise of plans for a third installment of the "Sex and the City" films.

Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda, said: "Hey Kim, such terrible news".

She also said she didn't know the last time she'd spoken with her former costars.

"She feels she has been treated horribly by Sarah Jessica Parker for six years", the friend reportedly said.
