Pregnant Woman Loses Baby After Being 'Kicked by CPM Activists'

The family of a pregnant woman has alleged that a Communist Party of India (Marxist) local leader attacked her because of which she lost her child.

She was admitted in a hospital, where the family was informed about a blood clot in the placenta.

On the woman's complaint, the Kodanchery police had arrested Naklikkattu Kutiyil Prajeesh (37), a neighbor.

The seven men had forcibly entered into Josana Sibby's house on January 28.

In the melee, Thamby allegedly kicked her and she started bleeding incessantly. So far, seven people have been arrested by the police in connection with the case. Reports say that the 28-year-old woman had called the police and asked for help about 15 minutes before the assault took place.
