Rayquaza and More Gen 3 Pokemon Fly into Pokemon GO Tomorrow

Pokemon GO is getting even more Generation 3 Pokemon from the Hoenn Region.

The Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza will be appearing in Raid Battles in Gyms near you until March 16. But they won't be around for long, with the Pokemon GO website stating they'll only be around until February 13. This will include several different Dragon- and Flying-type Pokemon, and a lot more.

Additionally, to make it easier for players to fill out their Hoenn Pokédex, developer Niantic has stated that only creatures from Ruby and Sapphire will be encountered in the wild between now and February 13th. Niantic also teased new Raid bosses and new Pokemon in hatched eggs. In order to give players the best chance of catching these Pokemon, Niantic also revealed that new special boxes will be available to purchase via the in-game store which include Raid Passes, Incubators, and Star Pieces as of tomorrow until February 23.

With the new Gen 3 event ending on February 13, there's still time for a Valentine's Day event to launch. Lure Modules will also be more effective ("Super Effective", if you will) until February 23, lasting six hours, as opposed to the normal 30 minutes.
