The USP of this edition would be a completemetamorphosis, a gradual transition from mere static display of vehicles to showcasing a consolidated package of "Entire Mobility Eco-System", thus complementing the ambitious goal of the government to gradually movetowards "Green Mobility".

The imprint of electric vehicles could be seen at virtually every pavilion at the Auto Expo on Wednesday, but automakers expressed the need of a firm electric vehicle policy to address the issues in adoption of the new technology. The homegrown auto major also registered a whopping 55% growth in its passenger vehicle sales in January 2018, and 38% growth in commercial vehicles in the same period. High-end automobile manufacturer Toyota Kirloskar Motor unveiled the "B-High" segment auto "Yaris" which is seen as its most anticipated launch this year.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India unveiled its most extensive product line-up of 11 new models. The remaining launches were 2018 versions of 10 of Honda's existing two-wheeler models.

"The new scooter range - Maestro Edge 125 and Duet 125 - will be introduced in the market by the second quarter of FY19, while the on/off road bike XPulse will be launched ahead of the festive season to delight the thrill-seekers in India", Hero MotoCorp said.
