In a tragic incident, three doctors working with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi were killed in an accident on the Yamuna Expressway near Mathura.
Almost six doctors were traveling in a Toyota Innova SUV out of which Dr Hembala, Dr Yashpreet and Dr Harshad lost their lives and Dr. Kadriene, Dr. Mahesh, Dr. Abhinav were critically injured and have been admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi. They were going for birthday celebrations of one of these doctors who is a senior.

In January, a 30-year-old Delhi woman was killed and her parents critical injured after the vehicle in which they were travelling overturned on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura district. An RTI query from 2017 revealed that in past the five years, 626 people have died in 4505 accidents on the Yamuna Expressway.
