Package destined for Austin explodes inside FedEx facility near San Antonio

Presently the FBI is leading an investigation that includes the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as well as Schertz police and the San Antonio Police Department bomb squad.

The blast happened overnight Tuesday morning at the FedEx Ground distribution center in Schertz, just northeast of San Antonio on FM 3009 Highway.

San Antonio fire service tweeted: "MAJOR INCIDENT SCHERTZ TEXAS AREA".
