Pelicans Coach Alvin Gentry Gets Heated Over Officiating In Game Against Rockets

"The thing that bothers me more than anything, and I really don't care, we try to play the right way, and we play our asses off", Gentry said after the game.

The league office on Sunday fined New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry $15,000 for publicly criticizing referees after a recent game, per Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Gentry went on an incredible rant after the loss, complaining about the foul calls Houston guard James Harden got during the game and the lack of calls Pelicans forward Anthony Davis has received all season. Holiday appeared to miss the free throw on goal in hopes of capturing a long rebound, but Paul foiled that plan by darting in front of the Pelicans guard to give Houston possession and force New Orleans to foul him. Gentry said before the game that Rondo was getting the night off to rest with the Pelicans opening a stretch of five games in six nights.

Ola, Uber drivers strike: Major impact unlikely
It said that the strike was called because drivers are not being able to cover costs due to falling business. Drivers in Delhi , Mumbai , Pune, and Bengaluru are participating in the strike.

Gentry was assessed a technical foul, and the Rockets led 95-85 with 5:39 left.

Harden agreed with the controversial call. "You take a look at the play and tell me what you think when a guy comes up and winks and says, 'I got him'".

This was clearly a breaking point for the Pelicans head man, who went on to complain about his star player not getting the same type of calls as some of the guys of his caliber in the National Basketball Association. He never gets a call.

New England Patriots trade for Cordarrelle Patterson from Raiders
The deal was confirmed by Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal and Vic Tafur of The Athletic San Francisco. The Raiders had the best average starting field position after kickoffs last season.

"(The Blazers) held and grabbed on every play and they got away with fouls all over the place", Van Gundy said, via the Detroit News' Rod Beard.

Doc Rivers fined for his comments on the officiating after losing to the #Rockets Friday night. When a guy's got his hands on his chest, and he's got his hands in, and you call a three-point shot [a foul], that's not right. Not one. And you know why? He just keeps playing the game.

A much more cooled down Gentry was in the Rockets' locker room following the game, and by then word had spread about his tirade.

Paul Pogba's poor displays are simply down to him and just as his global manager says, it's normal for any player to go through. He comes on, you expect good players to affect the game, he came on last night (Tuesday) and done nothing.
